Meet Dr. Arlianne Velez
Owner and Medical DirectorA proud native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Velez discovered her passion for veterinary medicine early in life. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, in Alabama.
Now a Parkland resident, Dr. Velez lives in the community with her husband, daughter, and their four beloved pets — her dog Blue and three cats, Leo, Misha, and Pepe. As the new owner and Medical Director of Parkland Animal Clinic, she is dedicated to caring for the pets and families of the place she calls home.
With over 13 years of experience caring for pets across South Florida, Dr. Velez leads her team with warmth, professionalism, and a deep commitment to medical excellence. Her interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and surgery, and she treats every patient with the same compassion she gives her own pets. She is also fluent in Spanish, providing clear and compassionate care to Spanish-speaking clients.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys time with her family, traveling and exploring new destinations, and being out in nature. Dr. Velez looks forward to welcoming you and your pets to Parkland Animal Clinic.
