Meet Dr. Kelsey Heron

DVM

Dr. Kelsey Heron knew she wanted to become a veterinarian at just 12 years old, inspired by her deep love for animals and the meaningful role they play in people’s lives. Today, she is proud to care for pets and their families as part of the Parkland Animal Clinic team.

Dr. Heron earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is Fear Free Certified and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is also fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of clients.

She has a special interest in surgery and dentistry and is especially passionate about helping anxious pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits. By incorporating Fear Free techniques, she works to reduce stress and create a more positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Dr. Heron enjoys collaborating closely with her colleagues and values building strong relationships with clients to ensure the best possible care for every patient.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband share their home with a Golden Retriever/Collie mix named Tyrion, a red-footed tortoise named Isaiah, and their kitten Raven.
